Focus of recent CT workers’ comp bill is on first responders
The workers’ compensation realm in Connecticut is hardly a narrow universe largely confined to a few select industries and injuries. Indeed, we prominently note on our website at the proven pro-workers’ Morizio Law Firm in Stratford our lawyers’ handling of claims “stemming from a wide variety of work-related accidents.”
A representative bullet list of those claims points to an injury/accident sphere that is notably encompassing. Workers’ compensation claims broadly span the following terrain and more:
Construction accidents (everything from falls and burns to crush injuries, adverse vehicle-linked outcomes and additional injury catalysts)

That job sphere notably includes Connecticut police officers, firefighters, ambulance drivers and other on-the-scene medical professionals, dispatchers, crisis-line operators and additional parties who save lives and otherwise mitigate injury outsides.
A recent legislative bill identifies those people and spotlights their important efforts. Specifically, as noted in one media account, it seeks “to expand the reach of the state’s first responder post-traumatic stress disorder presumptive law.”
